OCSO Investigating Attempted Bank Robbery

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is is investigating an attempted bank robbery that took place around 3:15 PM this afternoon at the Eglin Federal Credit Union located at 321 E. Hollywood Boulevard in Mary Esther. The white male pictured came into the bank and gave a note to a teller demanding money. Investigators say no weapon was displayed during the robbery. The suspect was unsuccessful in getting any money and left on foot towards the back of the bank. He is approximately 45-55 years of age, scruffy or unshaven, was wearing a gray or blue denim ball cap, long sleeve khaki shirt with no collar and three buttons down the front, baggy khaki pants, and what appeared to be brown open-toe shoes or flip-flops. WCSO Searching for Gas Station Robbery Suspect
June 17, 2022

Investigators from Walton County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a robbery at a gas station in Miramar Beach. Deputies responded to the Circle K located at 10685 U.S. Highway 98 after a 911 call at 5:20 am on 06/17/2022 in reference to a subject holding the store clerk at gunpoint. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash the subject fled the scene on foot heading eastbound towards a nearby plaza. The subject is described as a white male, wearing a blue mask over his face, a black Cleveland baseball hat with an old logo, a blue long-sleeve button-down shirt, black pants, and black and white tennis shoes. OCSO Seeking Information in Gas Station Robbery
August 10, 2021

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a man that robbed a FWB gas station on 08/10/2021. Around 3:35 a.m. the individual pictured below entered the store located at 213 Racetrack Road and struck the cashier multiple times then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a tan hoodie, a black mask, and dark sunglasses. He was later observed operating a white bicycle, white wheels, with black handle bars.

OCSO Seeking Information in Fatal Shooting
April 19, 2021

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is working to determine who is responsible for the fatal shooting of a
Fort Walton Beach teen Monday night.
Deputies were called to the area of Earl Street and Poplar Avenue around 11:30 in response to reports of
gunfire.
Callers reported hearing multiple shots.
A responding deputy spotted a car using its emergency flashers leaving the area and made a traffic stop.
The teen’s parents were attempting to drive the unconscious victim to the hospital. Deputies immediately
began to render lifesaving measures until EMS arrived. The victim, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the
chest, was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly before
midnight. He’s identified as 15-year old Quolee Jackson of Earl Street.
OCSO deputies and investigators, with assistance from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, canvassed
the area for evidence and witnesses overnight and are continuing their work at this hour.
Sheriff Eric Aden says this tragic incident is a time for our community to focus on compassion, commitment,
and community.
“These parents are having to endure unspeakable loss and pain due to this senseless violence. As a
community, we must work together to determine who is responsible and bring them to justice. We are
committed to that mission and ask that anyone who has any information that could assist our investigation to
please share it immediately."
Quolee's parents join in that plea for information with his mother saying, " He was a loving and caring boy".

OCSO Seeking Information in Fatal Shooting
March 17, 2021

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Vincent Lane yesterday evening and asking the public for any information in reference to photos of a suspect in the homicide.
The victim has been identified as 48-year old Earnest Riggs Jr. of the Fort Walton Beach area.
Multiple 9-1-1 calls were received around 7 p.m. Thursday from residents in the neighborhood reporting the sounds of gunfire and/or that a man had been shot.
Responding Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the victim inside a Chevrolet rental work truck parked in the street. Two workers who had been in the truck during the shooting stayed on scene, while two others had fled.
Investigators say residents told them the man in black pictured above had been walking around in the area for an hour or more before the shooting took place. The victim had reportedly been in that location because someone was inquiring about a bid on concrete work.

OCSO Investigating Shooting Death in Florosa
November 20, 2020

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent shooting death of a Crestview man at a home in southwest Okaloosa County.
The OCSO received a 9-1-1 call 11/20/2020 around 1:44 p.m. from a screaming woman at a home at 107 Marimba Street in Florosa.
When deputies arrived at the trailer they found 35-year old DeShaun Frazier inside in a pool of blood.

The Crestview Police Department is requesting any information relating to the identification of the above pictured black male who robbed the Cash’s Liquor Store (Next to the Crest Lounge), located at 1675 Ferdon-S Blvd., Crestview, FL, at gunpoint on 16 January 2018 at approximately 8:03PM.

 

The above pictured black male is approximately 5’10”-6’0” in height with a medium build. The suspect appears to have a prominent brow ridge and walks with his feet pointed outwards as he steps.

OCSO Trying to Idenfify Armed Robbery Suspect
January 19, 2017

A convenience store clerk confronted by the terrifying scene of a man dressed in dark clothes and armed with a handgun locked herself in the bathroom to get away from him during an armed robbery attempt.

The victim says the man pointed the gun at her around 5:30 AM January 19th when she was coming out of the restroom while working at the AOC Food Mart at 306 Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach.

She immediately slammed the door shut, locked it, and called 9-1-1.

The thief tried to get into the cash register but was unsuccessful.

OCSO Searching for FWB Armed Robber
January 03, 2017

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robber after responding to a 9-1-1 call from a Racetrack Road business around 6:45 p.m. on 01/03/2017. 

The AOC Food Mart and Texaco station at 306 Racetrack Road near Fort Walton Beach was held up by a short black male, weighing approximately 145 pounds, and dressed in black with a hoodie, ski mask, and gloves.

The clerk says the robber brandished a weapon and took cash before leaving on foot. OCSO K9 units and deputies have been searching the area.
